Description	OLD LABEL: HUNTING Hunting was a favorite pastime of the nobility of northern Europe. Dogs quarried the prey for hunters to kill with either crossbow or musket. Only the king could hunt on the royal game preserves. Overhunting caused the extinction of wild boar in England by the late seventeenth century.
