Research Remarks
Published Description | In order for the deceased to travel into the next life, the Ka (spirit) needed to have a recognizable home in the tomb to dwell in. The mummy was the ideal location, but if it was destroyed the spirit needed another place of residence: paintings, relief panels, or sculptures such as this one of Pharaoh Thutmose III. |
