Mint: Tiflis (modern Tbilisi), Georgia (Iberia, Persian Gurjistan) in Caucasia
Yale Collection.

Obverse: Mongol horseman galloping left and turned with drawn bow to shoot right

Reverse: Inscription:  a Muslim kalima, the shahada, or testimony of faith: La ilaha illa ‘llah, Muhammad, Rasul ‘llah, translated as “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God” (Arabic language)
