Research Remarks
Published Description | “Corner-Tang Biface. This relativelyt rare biface has several body and tang variations; the most common form has a tang notched into one corner of the base... Most specimens have been found in central and south central Texas and westward in counties along the Balcones Escarpment. Function is unkown; some have edge-wear indicating hafting for use as a knife, ... others have been reworked as drills..., and some perhaps had no utilitarian use as thery are occasionally found as grave furnishings“ (Turner and Hester, 210). |
