Artifact History

Archaeological Data N/A
Credit Line/Dedication Reginald and Gladys Laubin Collection
Reproduction Yes
Reproduction Information "These are Indian arrows made to sell at Trading Post. Indian kids would play with arrows like this at Pine Ridge Reservation." Laubin tapes (See Scholarly Notes.) So these arrows are probably native made although not of good quality or for actual use, and probably were native made but intended for tourists or kids to play with. As a toy they would not be considered a reproduction, even though toys might be miniatures of objects used by adults in a given culture. JLW, 5/27/2007
