Research Remarks
| Description | This is a Chinese bamboo carving of a censer. Although this was made in contemporary times, it features the motifs of the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Bamboo is a difficult wood to carve and represents longevity given that it flourishes throughout winter. |
