Research Remarks
Description | A small, polished lid that attaches to the top of the natsume. The lid assisted with creating an airtight seal to protect the tea powder inside from spoiling. This particular lid is part of a uniquely designed natsume created by the carver Ouchi Sosui from the So school that features polish only on the top and base. The sides, on the other hand, maintain their original kiri log features. |
