Research Remarks
| Description | A small, dark lid that attaches to a tubular case that holds an individual chashaku. The lid is designed to create a perfect seal that protects the chashaku from any kind of damage or deterioration. Because of the wideness of this particular chashaku, the corresponding lid and case are carved to be considerably wider than the other case. The chashaku’s role in the tea ceremony is to extract and measure tea powder for each serving of tea to guests. |
