- Location: Zahn Learning Center, Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St., Urbana, IL

Enhance your Spurlock Museum experience with hands-on activities in the Zahn Learning Center. During ZLC Open Hours (ZLC OH), visitors of all ages enjoy engaged learning through exhibit-related crafts and access to teaching artifacts and books. This weekend with Mother's Day and graduation close, crafters can make jewelry or colorful paper lotus flowers to celebrate the occasion. Use Greek gods rubber stamps and shrink plastic to make a bracelet or earrings. An upcycled button bracelet is easy to make. Our embossing leaf punch makes lovely leaves and can be painted gold for an ancient Egyptian or Mesopotamian look. Cut leaves and assemble a lovely lotus flower, and see the lotus flowers in the quilts of the special exhibit, South Asian Seams. $2 per crafter. Museum admission is free, and weekend parking is free in un-metered spots in lot D 22 behind the museum (enter on Oregon).
