Crafternoon at Spurlock: Day of the Dead

Día de los Muertos is today! Decorate a paper mache skull, make tissue paper marigolds, use a mold to make a model magic “sugar skull” or pipe icing onto the real thing, the iconic sugar skull. Explore our ofrenda and enjoy a curated playlist of videos to learn more about this holiday.

Crafternoon is a weekday hands-on crafting program for museum visitors of all ages, with projects designed by the Museum's Education Section students to range skill levels from the youngest visitors up to adults.

The program runs each Tuesday afternoon from October 4 through November 15th in the Zahn Learning Center.
