
2022 UIUC Poetics Symposium - Reading and Conversation

On Friday, December 2, poets David Baker, Linda Gregerson, and Carl Phillips will read from their new collections at 4:30 pm in the Knight Auditorium of the Spurlock Museum. All three are preeminent American poets, recipients of recognitions from the Library of Congress, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Mellon Foundation, among many others. The event is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.
The poets will also take part in a panel discussion titled "Something About Syntax" earlier in the day at 1000 Lincoln Hall, 10:00–11:20 am.
