The Spurlock Museum is excited to be at this weekend’s CU Days in Douglass Park! CU Days is a celebration of “all things Chambana.” From live entertainment to children’s activities, there will be plenty to do on both days of this festive event.

The Spurlock has participated in CU Days for several years. This year, we will be offering school supplies to visitors, including pencil pouches and pencils. Stop by our table on August 12 to speak with Monica M. Scott, Manager of Community Engagement and Programs, who celebrates six years at the Spurlock this August! Monica will be bringing objects from the Spurlock Museum’s teaching collection that visitors can interact with. In the past, these objects have included drums, Kente cloth, and stamps. This is a wonderful opportunity to have a hands-on experience with items from our collection.

Monica will also be available to discuss events at the museum, opportunities for in-classroom activities, and school visits.
