About Angels in America
One of the most honored plays of all time, Angels in America has won the Pulitzer Prize and numerous Tony Awards. It was recently revived on Broadway in 2018 to rave reviews. Set during the AIDS crisis of the mid-1980s, characters grapple with sickness, death, a pandemic, love, sex, heaven, and hell.
The event is offered in conjunction with our current exhibit: Sewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois.
The discussion for Part Two: Perestroika will take place on 1/18/2022. Please read or watch the plays prior to the discussions.
