Andean Music group Hathaways to perform concert

The Museum is excited to announce a concert by Hathaways on December 5 at 4:00 pm. The group, consisting of siblings Kate and James Hathaway, will perform an hour of traditional Andean charango music, as well as some original pieces that allow the audience to hear how the performers have blended the traditional with American music.
The concert is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and held in conjunction with the temporary exhibit The Hidden Life of Things: Andean and Amazonian Cultural Artifacts and the Stories They Tell, on display in the Museum’s American Indian Cultures Gallery through December 16.
