Melissa Sotelo and Karen Flesher win LAS awards

Spurlock staff were recently honored with not one but two awards by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences! Collections and Exhibitions Coordinator Melissa Sotelo and Business/Administrative Associate Karen Flesher were named winners of Academic Professional and Staff Awards respectively.

Melissa and Karen have both made tremendous contributions to campus and local communities through their work with undergraduate and graduate students, their management of complex resources and schedules, and their support of the Museum’s visitor-centered priorities in exhibitions and other public services.
In addition to Melissa and Karen, 7 other Spurlock staff have won this award since 2005. Pictured below are all our winners, with helpful stand-ins while some of us are working remotely.
