As we look ahead in the 2023–24 school year, the Spurlock Education staff would love your input! Please take the survey and tell us what kind of programming you’re most interested in. We have some options for you to choose and we also hope you’ll write in your ideas.

    Upcoming Events

We have some events already in the works. In November, we’ll be partnering with the Krannert Art Museum, Japan House, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Museum of the Grand Prairie, and more to host a “Wellness Wave to promote creative approaches to wellness. Campus units and community organizations are invited to facilitate their own unique programs around wellness. The Black Joy exhibit opening in February will have a range of associated programming, including an opening celebration.

    New Staff

Our public-facing staff is also changing: with Kim Sanford’s retirement (see the story in our magazine), we’ll be welcoming new family and school program staff over the course of this year. There will be room on the calendar for exciting new initiatives, but having some input ready for them from current visitors will be very helpful.
