On Friday, February 17, the Spurlock Museum will join hundreds of other cultural institutions in the #DayofFacts social media campaign (external link).

With fake news dominating social media and confusing the public (external link), it is important that everyone has access to reliable information sources. The purpose of #DayofFacts is just that: to reassert museums, libraries, archives, and cultural centers as trusted publicly available sources of knowledge.

Taking part in #DayofFacts aligns with the Spurlock Museum’s core mission to educate students, scholarly communities, and the general public about the diversity of cultures that live and have lived through time and across the globe. We’re committed to being a welcoming place (physical and virtual) for our visitors to explore world history and culture together.

Join us on all of our social media platforms (facebook, twitter, and instagram) this Friday, February 17 to be part of the conversation.
