Children Participating in Gallery Activities

Gallery Activities

We welcome you to our galleries for fun and fascinating explorations. Staff members are in the process of making changes in multiple exhibits this year, so return visits will mean new sights to see and new things to learn. You may want to focus each visit on a different theme, like animals, clothing, religion, or food. The free activities on this page are great for families, home schools, or small classes, as they are based on small-group exploration. Download and print copies in advance, use directly from your device, or pick some up from the information desk. We have equipment and supplies that can support your visit, such as clipboards, pencils, and portable stools.

Exhibit Bingo

Our Bingo games are treasure hunts arranged by theme or gallery. Game sheets, clipboards, and pencils are available at the information desk. Game sheets can also be downloaded before your visit. When you check off all the artifacts in a row, you will get a sticker.

Emoji Game

Museum staff members have put together combinations of emojis as hints to artifacts found in the galleries. After receiving a set of hints and a pencil at the information desk, use the hints to find the correct artifacts, write next to the emojis your answers, and then check your answers with the information desk assistant. Emoji sets come in 2 levels of difficulty.

Game sheets can also be downloaded before your visit.
