Central Core

  • Duration:Permanent

By nature [human beings] are nearly alike; by practice they become different. Confucius, 6th century BCE

All human beings face similar physical, mental, and spiritual challenges as they strive to understand and control the world around them. How they meet these challenges varies with the times and places in which they live.

The circle of the Central Core represents the conceptual foundation of the Spurlock Museum. It connects the galleries both physically and thematically and celebrates the complexity of the human experience through the aspects of body, mind, and spirit.
